It's Lower Body Day

How to Keep Healthy While Staying Home

With all the changes occurring in the world recently, the majority of us are passing more time in our houses. It can appear tricky to stick with a healthy lifestyle when your gym in Hudson is closed.

You might have turned into the principal, chef, and parent in your home. Maybe you are working from home for a time and aiming to create some organization during the day.

Throughout these unusual times, it can be tempting to lay around on the couch, checking the news and movie after movie, and slowly dropping your daily workout routine. We may be stuck at home, but we can nevertheless create ways to preserve a healthy routine! Take a look at our preferred useful habits you can work into your changing day-to-day routine to be active, help your immune system, and manage momentum toward attaining your wellness goals.

Integrate Home Workouts

One advantage of spending more time at home is the flexibility in your everyday routine. Go through your routine. Where can you make ten minutes for a home workout? A useful sweat session doesn’t need to go on forever to be effective. As long as your heart rate increases, you will get fat and calorie-burning perks! Take a look at our 12-minute home fitness class you can complete anytime, anywhere!

Have Your Kids Join Your Workout

The pools may be closed, but there are still tons of ways to create fun activities your children will want to do. At the end of the day, staying active isn’t just for adults! Here are a few of our top fun (and free!) ways the whole family can spend time all together:

  • Take the dog for a walk
  • Bring a frisbee outside in the sunshine (hello Vitamin D!)
  • Go for a bike ride or roller skate journey
  • Form a floral arrangement with your outdoor flowers
  • Play ball in the yard
  • Find your sidewalk chalk and draft a driveway masterpiece
  • Have a dinner cooking challenge
  • Turn up the family playlist and have a dance break

Plan Healthy Meals

Are you attempting to stay away from the grocery store? No problem! Now is the time to make new things in the kitchen and include your family’s canned goods and frozen foods. With the children out of school, long times at work, and the usual household chores, keep your mealtimes straightforward this season.

At FXB, we make good nutrition uncomplicated for our members. Start with your favorite protein source from the freezer, find a carb for your side, and mix in some healthy fat. And you’re done: a healthy meal with little to no fuss. (And if it’s your fun day, call for a pizza and unwind!)
